He used 3 weeks to preach the same topic...
However, his sermon is powerful...
He point out one of the duty as a Christian, and also how the Christian today behave when deal with money...
Galatians 2:10
"All they asked was that we should remember the needy in their group which is the very thing i have been eager to do."
One interesting fact of human is we never satisfied with what we have...
if u have more, u won't give it out...
one the other hand, if u have more, you want more and more and we never thought of giving out....
when we have wealth, we will think wat to buy,wat to eat, where to eat, change car, house, go travel...
the last thing that come into our mind or maybe never is giving to the poor, people who is in need...
The more you get, the more you want, the more you want, the more you become stingy.
On the other hand, the more you receive, the more you need to give..
Because all your wealth is given by God...
I like the ps. said that : " God give people wealth, so that people will use the money to influence the poor, to show the love of God.."
While most of us will think if we give to the poor, we don't have enough for ourselve..
If we think like that, we fall short on God's strength..
There is scripture indicate that God will provide you to give and if you give for God, God will reward you/
2 Corinthians 8 : 12 If you eager to give, God will accept your gift on the basis of what you have to give, not on what you don't have.
1 Corinthians 9 " 10- and God, who supplies seed for the sower and bread to eat, will also supply you with all the seed you need and make it grow and produce a rich harvest from your generosity.
The more you give, God will reward you...
remember that Jesus didn't born in a rich family.
He who is rich, make himself poor for our sake, so that we would help the poor..
God make the rich and poor people, the different between them is one who is rich, will put themselves higher than God, they think they no need God, however, the poor will show their strong faith...
We wan to to become a person who is rich in faith, not rich but poor in our spiritual life...
and a lot of scripture also said that if we do not help the poor if you have the chance, or you laugh at them, one day you will be punish...
Proverb 14:31 - If you oppress poor people, you insult the God who made them, but kindness shown to the poor is an act of worship
Give to the poor do not need to be money, it can a kind of service, food, cloth, you just offer your help when people is in trouble..
